Toshiba 13" Chromebook For $279 at CES

CES 2014 started yesterday and will be organized between January 5 - 10, 2014 at  Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas. Well we see a lot of new tech devices in this fair such as 4K Ultra HD TV and new notebooks. One of them is a Chromebook that Toshiba unveils at CES.


Toshiba has just unveiled its new Choromebook that is running the operating system of Google Chrome OS. The new Chromebook has 13.3-inch display. Toshiba’s new chromebook will be on the shelves on February 16.


We know Dell, Lenovo, Acer, Sony, Samsung and HP have chromebooks, and they started to sell 2 years ago. Toshiba step into Chrome territory because PC sales are dropping and companies tries to find new solutions to increase sales.


Chromebooks are as light as air and users like them. Toshiba’s new Chromebook is powered by Intel and it’s processor is Haswell. With this processors, the new Chromebook’s battery life is almost nine hours.


As for under the hood, the laptop has Haswell processor which is powered with 16GB of SSD disc and 2GB of RAM. However, you can connect to the net by dual-band Wifi 802.11 and download data fast.


Meanwhile, the Chromebook run on a Chrome OS with the power of Chrome browser. We can say that the operating system is depended to web based and you are limited to varios applications. Toshiba’s Chromebook will be available on February 16 and sold for $279.
