Intel Is To Cut 5,300 Jobs

Intel, the world’s leading processor company is about to cut almost 5,300 jobs in 2014. The company announced Friday that it plans to cut five percent of its global workforce and focus at future technologies.


The company said Friday that they will cut their workforce in 2014. Intel spokesman Chris Kraeuter said that cutting human resources are necessary for the future strategy and the company is trying to establish new business models for future tech.


The announcement comes a day after Intel released its earnings report and, the report reaffirmed that PC shipments are in rapid decline around the World and the company has to change its business models to adapt the new world system.


Intel plans to open its new chip factory in Arizona that will cost for $5 billion. The new factory will be targeted at future technologies and Intel plans to produce new tech mobile processors and chipsets for tablets and smartphones.


Intel has 107,000 employees around the world and the company will cut its five percent workforce in 2014. Intel needs to move this step because the company’s sales are slowing, and the company wants to enter the tablet and smartphone market to improve its sales.
