Tablet or PC Which Will Win The War

As you know, the tablet sales are increasing and doubled in 2013. According to reports, 90% of tablets sold to the existing PC owners. Well, will tablets win the PC and get to the throne?

That’s really difficult question to answer, but we know that PC sales are dropping. The PC sector is in crisis and sales are not good for companies such as IBM, Asus, and Sony. Windows 8 has come to save the PC companies but it wasn’t good idea to save the sector.

Microsoft played its trump card Windows 8 which has touch screen capacity and a complete new system. But buyers didn’t give big response to the new software. However, after the release of Windows 8, PC sales continues to fall. As a result, Windows 8 failed to attract people.

On the other side of the sector, some companies are so happy of the sales of their products. One of these companies is Apple, with the iPad sales are increasing and iPhone 5s broke its sales record. As Samsung, the firm is also very happy of their sales. Samsung is the serios rival of Apple with the device of Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4.

Apple and Samsung, both of  the companies are increasing their revenues but personal computer firms Dell and Asus are not as lucky as Apple and Samsung, and their revenues are dropping. Well, what will be in the future? Will PC-killing tablets be successful, and will be sales affected in 2014?

If we look the usage time of the two device, we can see that PCs are used during the day time. So we can easily say that PCs are used in the work hours and these devices are important for the companies, and we will need them in the future.

When we look at tablet usage, we notice that they are used during the evening hours, so we can easily say that tablets are used by personal aims. And people use tablets for entertainment and games. Because of these reasons, tablets are not tough rival for PCs.

Well, we know that PC is still used by consumers and people will replace their old PCs with the new ones. The big question is when will this happen and will the tablet market be affected PC replacement? I think the refreshment of PC will affect the tablet sales and the time will be 2014 or 2015.

Well, there is a danger for PC and tablets. Microsoft is trying to improve its hybrid surface tablet PC technology and this can be future of the sector. You can easily bring hybrid PC with you and you can use it anywhere.  But this device has some problems now and it is not sufficient work and daily usage.

As a result, people will buy tablet and PC separately for their daily and work usage. They will pick the best PC and the Best Tablet and will replace the devices respectively. As you know 2013 was the year of tablets and year of 2014 will be the PCs best time for refreshment.
