Google Buys Nest For $3.2 Billion

Google bought the creator of the smart thermostat and smoke detector firm Nest.  The compay is the leader in the sector and this acquisition costs $3.2 billion to Google and it was the surprising news for the sector.

Nest is the company which creates smarter houshold devices with good design and Internet-enabled features. Because of these features, the company has earned a good reputation and started to save Money.

The Company’s CEO Tony Fadell is a former employee of Apple and worked on the Project of iPod. Tony says that their products are upgradeable like your smartphone and they have advanced technology which you can control it with your android or iPhone smartphones.

Company has two important devices which make profit. Well, the Nest Thermostat is for $249, and the Nest detector is for $129. You can set the thermostat and the protector via internet with your smartphone or tablet. For example, you can connect to device and adjust temperature.

The device also connects to internet and control the outside weather and set the indoor temperature. If you are not at home, the detector can adjust the temperature and you can save energy.

As for Nest smoke protector, the device has similar features and connect to internet and you can set via your mobile phone. You can also control the device with your hands, when it alerts. You can wave your hands when the alarm rings and it shut off.

The company is shipping 50.000 devices per month, and as the company is the profitable, Google bought it. With this acquisition, Google has different kind of companies such as Robotic Company, Wireless tech companies, etc.
